CHARTERED QUANTITY SURVEYORS UNVEIL NEW LOOK LOGO IN SPECTACULAR STYLE AT SOUTH WEST HOUSING EVENT
Chartered Quantity Surveyors, Gates Partnership celebrate 60 years in the South West in 2007 by re-branding. Working with an extensive portfolio of Housing Associations, the practice took the opportunity to unveil their new logo at the Chartered Institute of Housing (CIH) South West Housing Event held at Torquay on 18th, 19th & 20th April. The event is the South West’s premier housing conference and the mission of the CIH is to “maximise the contribution that housing professional make to the well being of communities”. The innovative Gates stand was very popular with visitors queuing up to view the new branding by donning special spectacles, causing great excitement as they saw the Gates logo in glorious 3D Technicolor, spinning and revolving as if in mid-air.
With three offices located at Plymouth, Barnstaple and Taunton, the foundation of Gates' business is traditional Quantity Surveying but the Practice has developed to provide a wide range of professional services to Clients, including Project Management and Employer's Agent services as well as cost planning, funding advice and sourcing.
Quote by Kevin Binmore, Partner of Gates:
“With a large number of projects carried out for Housing Associations, we felt it a perfect forum to unveil our new logo and as it was an exhibition, we wanted to make it fun and different. We are very excited about our new branding which utilises the traditional blue of our established corporate ID going into green, which encapsulates the Practice’s ethos and culture. ”
Key speaker at the Conference was Dick Strawbridge the television presenter well known for his green credentials. Dick spoke out on the importance of sustainability. At the other end of the scale was “The Scary Guy”, the American, former tattoo artist, sported a bright orange Mohican and beard and is covered head to toe in flamboyant tattoos. The Scary Guy held the 600 strong audience captivated with his views on hate, violence and anti-social behaviour. Famous throughout the world, “The Scary Guy”, works closely with a variety of organisations and schools on his “Programme of self-respect”.
Quote by David Coles, Senior Partner Gates:
“This is the first time we have had a presence at this event and we were delighted with its success. The Gates stand proved a great attraction for visitors and we are already looking forward to next year’s event where we hope to present a new concept in 3D building modeling.”
