EXPANDING SOUTH WEST COMPANY OPEN THIRD OFFICE IN PLYMOUTH
Expanding South West Chartered Quantity Surveyors & Project Managers, Gates Partnership with project values ranging from £50,000 to £20 million, announce the recent opening of their Plymouth office based at the desirable Queen Anne’s Battery. They already have existing offices in Barnstaple and Taunton.
The core of Gate’s business is traditional Quantity Surveying, however, the practice has developed to provide a wide range of professional services to their clients including Project Management, Employer’s Agent as well as cost planning, funding advice and sourcing. Strong in ‘partnering’, the company specialises in difficult and challenging projects and always remain pro-active, priding themselves on achieving a quality build, on time and within budget that exceeds client’s expectations from inception to completion.
Quote by David Coles BSc MRICS FFB, Senior Partner of Gates Partnership:
“Gates are delighted to open a new office in Plymouth and we are looking forward to developing new relationships in the City. We already have offices in Barnstaple and Taunton and the opening of a third office is in line with our expansion plans and will mean the creation of new jobs. Plymouth is rapidly developing and there is a substantial amount of money being invested in the City so there is extensive growth and many opportunities. We already carry out a large amount of work in the area and one of our largest clients is based here, so it made strategic sense to have a permanent presence in Plymouth”.
Gates have undertaken many local projects in the Plymouth area including 32 self-contained flats at St. Barnabas Court in Stuart Road, an Extra Care Sheltered Housing Scheme for older people in association with Sarsen Housing Association and Plymouth City Council completed last year. The company is at present working on a similar project with Sarsen Housing Association, which will incorporate 40 self-contained flats and communal facilities at the former St. Paul’s Church site, Torridge Way, Efford. They also carried out project work on the Cumberland Block, Raglan Barracks, Cumberland Road, Plymouth for Sarsen Housing Association. A £1.7M design and build project comprising the demolition of the existing Raglan Barracks building and the construction and completion of 24 nr dwellings comprising 7nr 2bed, 14nr 3bed and 3nr 4bed general needs dwellings together with associated external works, services and drainage.
