Huish Episcopi David Heath MP will carry out a ribbon cutting ceremony to formally open the new 6th form facility at Huish Episcopi in Langport, a specialist college for Science, Languages and Applied Learning and will be joined by 70 guests from the local community who have supported the project from the outset. The guests made up of School Governors, local supporters and the building consultant team who completed the project in August will congregate in the high-tech 150 seat auditorium to hear presentations by David Heath MP, Graham Roff (Head Teacher) and David Bell Chairman of the School Governors. The new term started on the 6th September giving students a chance to explore what the new building has to offer The student themselves will be on hand to give guided tours of the 6th form facility followed by light buffet in the new contemporary café. The new £4.5m sixth form building was built by Chartered Building Contractor RG Spiller based in Chard, Somerset. |
