Summertime feelin’ at the Torstock Festival

September 12, 2017

The Old Rectory Care Home, Exeter (part of the Southern Healthcare Group) held a festival for residents, family and friends to raise money for Alzheimer’s Society. The UK’s only charity investing in research into dementia care, cause, cure and prevention. Committed to spending £150 million on cutting-edge research over the next decade. Every project they fund directly addresses the needs and concerns of people affected by dementia.

The day was well attended and included live music from The Cornish Wurzells, F-ABBA-TASTIC and Andy Cowling the homes events co-ordinator. As well as games and entertainment such as an amazing fire-breathing act!

Raffle prizes were kindly donated from local businesses such as Gerry Cottle’s The Magic Circus, Wookey Hole, Exeter Chiefs, On the Waterfront, St. Austell Brewery and many more!
