The partners and team of Haines Watts North Devon, who are celebrating five years’ in their Bideford office, welcomed clients, associates and professionals to their hospitality marquee at Holsworthy & Stratton Agricultural Show. Guests enjoyed hot beverages; wine and light refreshments including the ever popular strawberries & cream.
Haines Watts sponsored the Main Ring at the one-day show and also helped to raise funds for Children’s Hospice South West (CHSW), Little Bridge House with a fun charity competition. Visitors to the Haines Watts’ stand had to guess the number of balloons in a tractor, kindly loaned by Agricultural Engineers, Short & Abbott from Bridgerule, for the chance to win a number of prizes, helping to raise £275 for the local worthy cause.
CHSW has three children’s hospices in the South West, including Little Bridge House in Fremington, Barnstaple, for children with life limiting or life threatening illnesses. The children and their families visit Little Bridge House for short breaks; respite; palliative care, as well as emergency stays, end of life care and bereavement support. The whole family is looked after, with the burden of medical needs taken care of by the specialist care teams, so they can enjoy precious time together and create special memories.
Naomi Dymond, Corporate Partnerships Fundraiser at CHSW said: “We are thrilled to be Haines Watts’ chosen charity once again for the Holsworthy and Launceston agricultural Shows this year, raising a total of £542.50! It is always so much fun to be involved in these events and to work alongside the team. We rely almost entirely on voluntary donations, so the support of companies such as Haines Watts is crucial to ensure we can continue to open our doors and be there for life-limited children and their families.”
